The proposed season ticket price plans for the Las Vegas NHL hockey team are public.

Season ticket deposits will be accepted starting at $150 per seat, fully refundable if the organization isn’t awarded an NHL team.

The following email hit the inbox at the Nebulous Verbosity international corporate headquarters today:

Thank you for your continued interest in bringing an NHL team to Las Vegas! We are just five days away from launching our season ticket deposit campaign!

In preparation for our Season Ticket Deposit Campaign launch set for next Tuesday, February 10, I wanted to send you pertinent information to ensure you were fully informed about the process.

Season ticket deposits start at just $150/seat, are applied toward the cost of season tickets (not an additional fee), and are fully refundable if we are not awarded a team! The seat map doesn’t show luxury suites or anything, very few doubt an NHL team would have any difficulty selling all of the luxury suites to corporate and casino property sponsors in Las Vegas.

Is there enough local support from hockey fans and other smaller businesses in Las Vegas to support a full season of NHL hockey?

Nobody knows, there are logical of arguments to be made both ways. Thus, the ticket drive to demonstrate the level of interest.

Money Talks

Ignoring the people fully committed to making it happen is foolhardy. Arena partner AEG, for one, has a proven track record in the NHL business as well as in the world class arena business. Their partner, MGM Resorts, has successful properties worldwide.

The front man (and likely largest investor) for the NHL team is now billionaire William Foley, who has a list of successful ventures including Fidelity Financial (title insurance, not Fidelity Investments) and is unlikely to leap into any investment without having done due diligence.
